Welcome to IT COOKS! This week is the premier episode, featuring cheesy goodness! There’s a great how-to on making cheese crisps and I babble a lot about cheese and how much I love it!
2 cups of freshly grated cheese (Cheddar, Gouda, Parmesan, Romano, etc)
Preheat oven to 400 Degrees. Line a cookie sheet with a reusable silicone baking mat (or parchment if you don’t have a baking mat). Place your cheese in evenly sized mounds no larger than a golf ball onto the mat and press it into an even thickness. Leave at least 2 inches of space between each flattened mound. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is brown around the edges. Either cool on the pan for flat crisps, or form into shapes like taco shells or bowls, or use a (metal) cookie cutter to cut out fun shapes. Enjoy!
