Welcome to IT COOKS! This week is episode three, which is bound to be the most controversial episode yet… maybe of all time! CANDY CORN! Love it or hate it, it’s pretty much unavoidable this time of year. Luckily, Amber has you covered! This episode features a review of perhaps the most interesting variety of the season, plus Amber’s favorite recipe: Candy Corn Panna Cotta! This week’s sponsor is Subculture Corsets & Clothing.
2 cups heavy cream
8 oz. candy corn (any flavor)
1 package unflavored gelatin
Put the cream in a saucepan over medium heat and stir the candy corn until dissolved. Do not allow the cream to boil. Once the candy corn is entirely melted, remove from heat. Bloom the gelatin in water. Mix the gelatin/water into the cooled candy corn mixture and pour into whatever mold you desire. Chill 4-5 hours or until set.
Use 1 ½ cups of heavy cream and mix ½ a cup of your liquor of choice (I prefer caramel or butterscotch flavored libations) into the liquid after stirring into the gelatin. Pour into shot glasses and chill until set.
